Every tool is client-side JavaScript. Images are read with FileReader and drawn to a canvas; text is processed in the page. Open your network tab and watch — after the page loads, nothing is sent.
Because nothing is transmitted, a 20 MB photo is processed as fast on hotel Wi-Fi as on fibre. There are no size caps, no daily quotas and no waiting for a server to get around to you.
Once a tool page has loaded you can go offline and keep working. Handy on a plane, on a train, or anywhere the signal gives up halfway through what you were doing.
Most free tool websites work the same way: you upload your file, an unseen program on somebody else's server processes it, and you download the result. It is convenient right up until you think about what you just did — handed a client's logo, a signed contract, a family photograph or a production API response to a company you know nothing about, under a privacy policy you did not read.
Shah Khan Tools takes the other route. Browsers have been able to do this work locally for years: the canvas element can decode, resize and re-encode images; JavaScript can parse JSON, compute checksums, build QR matrices and run any calculation you like. The only reason most sites upload anyway is that files on a server are an asset. We would rather have tools that are quick and private than a database of other people's documents.
The text tools count words, convert letter case, strip duplicate lines and generate placeholder copy. The image tools compress, resize, crop, convert and encode pictures using the HTML5 canvas — no upload at any point. The developer tools format and validate JSON, handle Base64 and URL encoding, minify assets and generate real scannable QR codes. The CSS generators build gradients, shadows, radii, colour palettes and layouts visually. The SEO and blogging tools produce meta tags, Open Graph markup, clean URL slugs and keyword analysis. The calculators handle age, BMI, percentages, loan repayments and unit conversion, and show their working.
Nothing here asks for an email address. There is no premium tier holding a feature hostage, no watermark on output, no daily limit and no countdown before a download unlocks. The site is funded by advertising placed in fixed positions that never cover a tool, and the advertising network never sees anything you put into one — because that content never reaches our servers either.
Thirty-two utilities, no sign-up, nothing uploaded. Most of them do the job in under ten seconds.
